To me that just proves the fact that there is something fishy going on in a anti-virus world. Why should it be so hard to take something off of your computer that you would need a special pool outside of the Windows programs uninstaller?

Norton is not the only anti-virus company that requires an un-Installer to remove all traces of its product. I think it clearly shows that there is something going on behind the scenes with these anti-virus programs that you pay for. I removed more viruses from computers that have had paid anti virus programs on them than I can count. I have removed just as many anti-virus installations, especially uninstalling Norton with a Norton removal tool, as I have root kits, worms, Trojans, and viruses off computers.

What's really going on in the anti-virus/virus industry? Is every body's concerns of conspiracy to true? Should we be looking at these paid anti-virus program companies and asking them why their products don't seem to be working so well? Keep in mind there are some situations you will find yourself in that even the best anti-virus program cannot stop an infection. This includes executing or downloading an attachment from an e-mail, and or using peer-to-peer share sites for music, videos, and games. These infections are due to user error and there is no anti-virus that can prevent that. You shouldn't need a computer repair tech to remove an antivirus program.
